Matt Hall Racing and Newcastle Jets partner up
The Club has teamed up with Australia’s only Red Bull Air Racer, Matt Hall, to offer one lucky Jets Member the chance to win a joy flight with the former RAAF Fighter Pilot.
Better still, on the day that our winning Member goes up in the air with Hall, he or she will be joined by Jets attacker Morten Nordstrand and have their full experience documented via a Club video feature for www.newcastlejets.com.au and social media.
Earlier this year Hall – who in 2009 became the first Australian to ever compete in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship – presented a motivational talk to the Newcastle Jets squad.
The Scone-born pilot who finished the 2016 Red Bull Air Race Series in second place behind Germany’s Matthias Dolderer discussed “realising your dreams”, and Jets defender Daniel Mullen said Hall’s presentation resonated with the group.
“He (Hall) spoke about his time in the Air Force in which he had to display team work,” Mullen said. “Then he went on to talk about goal-setting and always striving for the highest.”
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: To win the Newcastle Jets and Matt Hall Racing competition the Member must also be present at the Newcastle Jets vs. Adelaide United game at McDonald Jones Stadium on Friday 16 December 2016. Representatives from Matt Hall Racing will select the winning entrant and the decision is final. Entries must be received by 12pm on Friday 16 December 2016. The winner of the Newcastle Jets and Matt Hall Racing competition must be aged over 14, be under 200cm tall, and weigh less than 100kgs. Newcastle Jets and Matt Hall Racing will work with the winner to identify an agreeable date/time to fly prior to the conclusion of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season.
