2019 World Championship celebration, December 8!
Matt Hall and his team will celebrate their success in the 2019 Red Bull Air Race World Championship at their home base at Lake Macquarie Airport on Sunday December 8, an event which is open to the public.
Hall won the 2019 world championship in Chiba, Japan at the start of September, beating former champions Yoshihide Muroya of Japan and Martin Šonka. Both Muroya and Šonka had been angling for their second crown, but it was Hall who trumped the former winners to claim his maiden title.
The result saw Hall end his Red Bull Air Race career with an enviable record of one world championship, seven career race wins and 30 overall podiums (including end of season podium finishes).
On Sunday December 8, the Aussie champion pilot and his team are opening their doors at Lake Macquarie Airport to family, friends and the public to celebrate Australia’s first air race world championship.
During the event fans will be able to speak with Hall and his team, take photos, buy official merchandise and have items signed. Aircraft will also be on display with the team’s former race plane, the four-time race winning MXS-R on show for visitors to have a close look at.

There will also be four joy flights available on the day, with visitors able to purchase a flight in the two-seat Organics by Red Bull race plane to be flown by a Matt Hall Racing pilot.
There will also be team memorabilia and photos on display.
