FAQ’s

  • If the weather is outside safe operating parameters on the day or if the forecast says it will be bad weather, the pilot will generally make the call on the day to cancel flights.

In some circumstances, the pilot will decide the day before if severe weather is guaranteed. If this occurs you will be contacted by the MHR team to reschedule your flight. Refunds will not be offered in the event of bad weather conditions.

  • Our aircraft can not fly through rain, cloud or heavy winds. If any of these or a combination of these develop passed the safe operating parameters of the aircraft or the aerobatic profile we can not conduct joy flights.

Safety is paramount when we fly. We also want the best experience for our customers as well. The pilot will recommend the best flying experience especially if the air is rough, they may give you the option to reschedule if they believe the ride will be uncomfortable. Every effort is made to ensure the best experience for our customers.

  • If you have a booking for 10am, then you only need to arrive at the time of booking at 10am.

You have an hour allocated slot which allows time for sign on, pilot briefing, the actual flight and debriefing. There is no requirement to turn up early as the booking before you will be in its final stages.

  • Enclosed shoes are a must! You will not be allowed to fly if you do not have the correct shoes. Comfortable pants or shorts depending on the heat of the day.

A t-shirt or collared shirt is recommended for the seat belts as they can rub. If it is a warm day try to wear cool clothing as it gets quite hot in the cockpit even in winter.

  • If you have any medical conditions the pilot should know about, for instance a heart condition, back injury etc then it is best to have this confirmed with your doctor that it is ok to fly.

We can tailor the flight to be less extreme aerobatics and more gentle flying while still experiencing going upside down if you wish. We can tailor the flight to just a gentle scenic flight if required with no aerobatics.

Please notify the MHR team if you have any health conditions upon booking and we can help you decide what is the best approach.

  • Our joy flight aircraft is a two seat aircraft, allowing one seat for the pilot and the other seat for the passenger. This means only one passenger at a time.

  • The best place to watch the flight from is the airfield. Most flights are conducted nearby and generally you can see most of the flight. If you travel to the location you will miss the best past of the take off and landing with the person who is flying.

These are generally the best moments to capture, their reactions getting in and taking off to the when they land and get out of the plane. The on board video we have available to purchase is a great way to watch the whole flight.

  • Unfortunately you cannot take your own Go Pro, phone or camera on the flight. This is due to all these articles having the ability to become a foreign object in the cockpit which is very dangerous to the operation of the aircraft and the pilot. You can purchase the video of your flight if you wish to capture the experience.
