Northern Rivers Aero Club Flood Appeal

Northern Rivers Aero Club is raising money to re-build after a 1 in 500 year flood devastated facilities, planes, equipment and memorabilia. They are holding a fundraising event to help get this historical club back on its feet.

Courtesy of QBE, guests will be treated to one of the best aerobatic displays on the planet performed by Matt Hall, Red Bull Air Race world champion and former RAAF top gun fighter pilot. Matt will display in front of the Ballina RSL, over the Richmond River and return to the RSL to give a keynote talk.

The club will make its presentations and draw the raffle, followed by meet and greet with Matt Hall.

Further information about the floods

Lismore was devastated in 2022 by a 1 in 500-year flood. The Northern Rivers Aero Club went under, losing its entire fleet of aircraft, priceless items of memorabilia, almost everything in the hangar and clubhouse. The club members were devastated and worked hard over the last five months to bring it back together.

There is so much work to do, walls to be fixed and painted, windows to be replaced, floors to be sanded and resealed and other major building work on the hangar. The simple fact is that every donation, no matter how small, will go a long way to help rebuild this club and allow it to continue teaching new pilots long into the future.
