Australian company OzRunways joins Red Bull Air Race with Matt Hall
Adelaide-based tech company OzRunways has extended their relationship with Australian pilot Matt Hall from the domestic to international scene, joining the Novocastrian as an official sponsor of his Red Bull Air Race World Championship team.
OzRunways was founded in 2010 – Hall’s second year in the world’s fastest motorsport series – and in the years since has become Australia’s number one electronic flight bag, flight planner and GPS navigator for iPad and iPhone.
It’s the premier mobile aeronautical information app for Australia, and helps pilots reach the optimum in situational awareness.
All technology chat aside, OzRunways is premised on being an aviation app that is created for pilots, by pilots. And that’s where Hall comes in, as the premier pilot in the country.
Since the beginning of the relationship between Hall and OzRunways in early 2015, the agreement to work together has been predicated on proficiency, safety and improving the way they go about business.
“We were thrilled with the opportunity to expand our sponsorship of the MHR team in 2018,” OzRunways CEO Scott Bretland said.
“Matt’s unwavering focus on professionalism and safety, combined with a commitment to continuous improvement mirrors our approach when it comes to providing the highest possible standard to our customers.
“His sensible and open approach serves as an example to everyone he meets, and we are proud to be a supporting partner in his world championship quest.”
Not only will Hall enjoy a closer relationship with the Aussie company, his race plane will also have the OzRunways name adorning the finely crafted winglets, and it’s something the Aussie pilot said he couldn’t be prouder of.
“It’s exciting to introduce an Australian company into the air race as an official team sponsor for 2018,” Hall enthused.
“Although I have been working with OzRunways for some time, it’s really exciting to take that next step with the OzRunways team.
“It is my intention that we can assist those guys in pursuing their organisational goals, and I am incredibly proud to be representing a truly Australian company that is making positive changes to the aviation industry.”
Hall will be in action at Round one of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship this weekend. Qualifying takes place on Friday February 2 at 11pm AEDT, while race day kicks off at 9pm AEDT.
Saturday’s main event will be broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports. For those without a subscription to the network, you can watch it all LIVE here: www.redbullairrace.com/live
